Deliberate Harmony
I created a company called Deliberate Harmony. I want to share my thoughts about what Deliberate Harmony is … what it will be in time will totally depend on everyone else, since ultimately it will belong to the community that it creates!
Many people “believe” that we are one. What this means exactly is a little different from person to person – central however is the idea that we share something deep and profound with each other, and that ultimately our welfare is somehow intrerconnected. This belief doesn’t really get us very far if we are not experiencing oneness or acting as one.
Our society has moved further and further way from acting as one, and instead seems to foster isolation or dependence/independence/codependence. We think that we need to be strong and independent to be respected, and our consumer culture stresses that we always need something else to be enough. If we don’t have the latest fashion or gadget we are less than those that do. Although poverty is not a virtue, neither is blind affluence or consumerism – both states ignore our interconnectedness and lead to feelings of isolation and low self-esteem.
Because of our conditioning and wounding, we experience ourselves most often in survival mode; our experience of the world is scarcity – there just isn’t enough for everyone. We are simply existing, going through the motions of our lives on autopilot. Many people don’t know what they want; few people that know what they want, know why they want what they want. For most, our wants are really needs – we need something to either survive or to feel good about ourselves.
Most people I talk to can feel that they are chasing something … there is someplace to go, or something to do, or someone to be – this moment isn’t enough. Although this is largly a human condition, I believe it is a result of our splintered, separated mindset. At the deepest level we simply want to be loved and connected.
Deliberate Harmony exists to help us experience that we are more than an accidental happenstance, but instead part of something much larger than we can comprehend with our mind. Embracing and exploring this higher/greater self leads to a life with deeper meaning and access to higher levels of passion and fulfillment. Deliberate Harmony stands for and within the context of oneness. We need to belong to something bigger than ourselves to feel any bigger than our little egos.
Ultimately we seek practical answers that lead to greater joy and less suffering in our lives – this naturally includes our partners, families, friends, and communities.
It is not necessary to believe in oneness to get the benefits of it; it is only necessary to start acting as one – acknowledging our interdependence and healing the wounds that push us into survival mentality. If you don’t believe in oneness, if you don’t believe our connectedness, are you willing to try living as ifyou were connected to see how that experience impacts your health and well being?
What are the ramifications of oneness? We have no individual problems only challenges/opportunities for our community. Nobody is better or worse than anyone else. We participate in perfection as a way of life rather than a disembodied concept. “When we light a lamp for somebody, it also brightens our path”.
Deliberate Harmony is not affiliated with any religion. Deliberate Harmony is home to anyone that calls us home and who strives to do their part in the context of oneness.
Welcome home!
